If you haven’t been following,my friend James Onen (also known as Fatboy at Sanyu FM) Responded to my invitation to him to trust Jesus on his blogwww.freethoughtkampala.wordpress.com . I have written back a simple conversation starter here. If you are a Christ follower reading, please join me and lets pray for James and his friends to come to the realization of the truth of this Jesus who has put colour to our lives. May God use this to open up a journey that will climax into the true “freethought” that faith in Jesus brings.
Thanks Fatboy,
I have perused through your blog and i can see you are a very intellectually intrested chap.Good thing.
I must however admit that because of schedule reasons am unable to engage in a lenghty paragraph per paragraph discussion our discussion. And even if i did, i doubt whether it would help enough the questions you carry around.Yet i know what could help that.
Allow me say though that i intended it to divert your discussion to the bigger picture of an empty tomb and a resurrected Christ because i found the witchcraft discussion totally unhelpful.
What you phrased as "sermonizing" was the authentic uncluttered gospel i intended you to hear.
The story that constently bugs us,raises questions within us but then finally brings us a peace that surpasses understanding when we recieve it in faith.
Faith that says this world is headed somewhere and that because of a risen Christ there is hope for humanity. There is forgiveness, love, heaven, true life and resurrection .
That's the big painting we all need to watch. I would go on and on rumbling in big paragraphs about mysteries and ideas but as long as they are not in light of this one true big picture,it's all clutter.
But since you seem to be a seeker,i will recommend start here www.Y-Jesus.com
Take note however despite all the evidence you collect, you will still need faith to believe and trust this Jesus who has regenerated lives throughout History.
Am praying for you tonight buddy and i must admit (again) that i love your radio talent too. Keep it up!
